NEW! Parent Info Sessions

There is so much confusion and misinformation surrounding the college admissions process. My parent info sessions provide you with clear information so you can make the best decisions for your child. Each session lasts approximately 60 minutes and is hosted on Zoom for your convenience.

In these sessions, I will

  • Give an overview of the college admissions timeline
  • Identify practical steps you can take right now ensure your child is prepared for the admissions process
  • Discuss ways to handle the anxiety that often accompanies this process – and find ways to turn a stressful situation into an empowering one
  • Get a preview of the Common Application and an explanation of how platforms like Naviance and SCOIR work in conjunction with it
  • Identify how to best work with your child’s high school guidance office to make sure deadlines are met and protocols are followed
  • Learn how to create a realistic college list that includes a suitable variety of options
  • Discuss the financial aid process, including FAFSA, CSS and merit aid scholarships
  • Touch upon the sports recruiting and music audition pathways
  • Discuss timing of SAT and ACT, and what “test optional” really means
  • Learn the difference between Early Decision, Early Action, Regular Decision, and Rolling Admission
  • Connect to the best local resources for test prep and financial form completion
  • Learn how to schedule college visits – and what to actually do on them
  • Identify the best summer programs for your child – and how/when to apply for them
  • Discover my favorite books, podcasts, and other resources for the college admissions journey

Each session is $25, payable via Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle. You will have access to the recording of the info session you attend.
