I spent years teaching at independent schools in the Baltimore/ DC and New York City areas. I have familiarity with secondary schools in these communities and am well-equipped to help you…even if we’re not able to meet in person. In the past few years, I have worked with students in Massachusetts, Texas, North Carolina, and Florida.

By using Zoom and Google Docs, I can create a schedule of meetings and essay/revision due dates that will keep your student on-track with the application process. Google Docs allows me to make comments and suggest revisions directly in documents that the student and I share. It’s how I manage revisions for my Buffalo-based students as well.

The advantage of working with an independent college counselor outside your area is two-fold: first, I’m a fresh set of eyes and can offer a new perspective on your student’s academic situation, and second, I charge considerably less than my big city counterparts.
